What we make
Vandan is a greeting-card app for the messages Indians actually send: a good morning, a festival wish, a thought for the day, a salute on a national day. Every card already carries your photo and your name when you open it, in the place and the colour the card was drawn around — so sending one takes a tap, not ten minutes in an editor.
Why it exists
Every morning, millions of wishes go out on WhatsApp. What people have to send is usually a picture that has been forwarded a dozen times, carries somebody else's watermark, and says nothing about them. We thought the daily wish deserved better: a real photograph, a line worth reading, and your own name on it.
How a card is made
- The calendar comes first. Festivals, tithis, the weekday's deity and the national days decide what tomorrow needs.
- Then the picture. Photographs are licensed or free of restrictions, checked by hand, and kept at full size.
- Then the words. Wishes, thoughts and verses in Hindi, checked line by line rather than scraped and trusted.
- Then the space for you. The card is drawn with a place kept open for a photo and a name. Nothing is pasted on afterwards; that room was always part of the design.
Who we are
Vandan is made by Crazy Crafto Pvt Ltd, an Indian company, by the same team behind SnapReel. We build for Indian phones, Indian networks and Indian occasions.
Where we are going
- More languages beyond Hindi.
- More occasions, including the regional ones a national calendar leaves out.
- Cards that move, with music, for a status that does not sit still.
